I formed Parascosa Consulting in 2002 as the
company vehicle for my independent consulting and interim management
business.
By 'independent' I mean that I have no
allegiance to any particular software supplier, product or service provider and will always
provide clients with impartial recommendations, based on the particular
business needs that have been identified. Unlike many consultancies, I am
also fully prepared to become engaged in working with clients to implement
the recommendations that I make.
Business and IT communities often speak
completely different languages and have problems communicating with each
other, leading to misunderstandings and delays. I have experience of working
in both communities and can assist with the ‘translation’ of important
business and IT issues.
Failure to communicate effectively can be one
of the primary causes of risk in any organisation but there are many other
causes of operational risk. I look at the overall governance of an
organisation and, by improving the governance and risk management
structures, suggest and implement processes to identify, evaluate and address
risk before it can jeopardise the assets and profitability of the
organisation. |
